No-wen!

Yesterday at daycare Owen bit three other kids.  They said that he tried several other times to bite but they were able to stop him.  Apparently he did it unprovoked.  I'm not sure that we have any real intervention at this point but to just try to stop it before it happens.  I hope this is a phase that is quickly outgrown.  Maybe teething? Frustration?  No biting Owen!

Happy 15 Months!

Sweet babies, yesterday day you were 15 months... It was a odd Sunday being that daddy worked but it was nice because we hung out half of the day at Nana's.  We went shopping for your Aunt Julie's bday, went for a walk, played in your new playhouse at Nana's, and ate dinner.  Owie had been a little sick and only got worse as the day went on.  You also took a icky fall on the rock patio at Nana's..  Last night you were both up with fevers so today was no work for mama and a quick trip to the doc.  We now have meds and you have been napping for 3 hours.  Big thanks to or Nana for going to the doc and picking up our meds..  We would be lost without her!

More Chompers!

Early this week Owen was a super fuss pot and after a quick investigation we found out why.  He has two teeth coming in up top, poor little guy.  After some tylenol and humphreys he seemed to feel a little better.  Being curious we then checked Paige and sure enough she has one coming in up top as well.  I would like to blame the biting of other people on the teething but I think it has little more to do with getting frustrated.  We joke that they look like horses fighting.. I'm just waiting for the day they do it at daycare.

Tonight they played a fun game of follow the leader in the kitchen while I cleaned up.  Paige followed Owen around with her hand on his shoulder.  They both cracked up which made me crack up..  Too much fun:)

Hello Sunshine!

Our first hike was at the Chihuahuan Nature Trail.. It was a little windy and you both kept losing your hats. We didn't walk too far before deciding it was best to turn back. We enjoyed a nice little snack of apple and life cereal at the picnic tables and you guys had fun looking around at all the cool stuff in the desert. It was a nice little practice run for the many more hikes we will go on.

Hello 2012!

Happy New Year! Last year at New Year's your daddy and I celebrated the east coast New Year and were fast asleep when our clock struck midnight. This year we got to go out thanks to our wonderful Nana and party like it was 1989. We headed over one of your daddy's co-workers for a laid back 80's themed party. Best part of the night was kissing my love and coming home to you babies.. I can't wait to see what this 2012 has in store for us.

Typical Paige:)

While helping mommy with the laundry Paige found just how fun a oven mitt can be. Future chef? Maybe! A little ham? No doubt! This was a classic Paige moment with her one sock off. Silly girl...

Hello!

So there has been the maaamaa and dada but I think Paige's first official word is "HAI" aka Hi! She has been going around the house saying "Hai".  Yesterday while grocery shopping she said "Hai" to a few ladies who stopped to admire the incredible cuteness contained in the stroller.  So that's it, I'm making it official, her first word is "HAI"..HI!

In other Holiday news we got to have Christmas with our Nana last night.  Today we had many little friends over to make ornaments.  They really didn't turn out like I hoped but it was nice to see our friends.  It was a little tight with four adults and nine childern but it worked..  Paige tried to hang with the big boys and play catch while Owie stuck close to his mama...

I'm starting to get comfortable with this stay-at-home thing, but only 4 more days till I'm a working gal again.  I'm just fortunate that I not only have the best job in the world, Mommy to Paige and Owen, but I also love being a school social worker.
