Eat fresh!

Owen's first time in subway and he wasn't even wearing pants! Where is this child's mother?! In my defense, he was a last minute stow away when I had to run and get Paige's prescription filled for her second ever ear infection.

We read a few books today.

This is what we did this morning after dropping papaw off at the airport. Owen and Paige took turns picking a book from the shelf and bringing it to me, we must have read a good 20 and some over and over and over. After picking a book they would race back to try and get the best seat in the house, my lap. The other had to settle with sitting/balancing on my leg.

Say cheese!

Yesterday Paige, Owen, Nana and I headed to aunt Agnes's family reunion in chz nm for the day. Many thing s didn't go our way including Owen having a fever, lots of wind and a extended car ride, but want did work out, seeing cousins Derek and Cameron and aunt Agnes and uncle Jon made it all worth it. It was also a nice test to see how O and P will do on a long car ride.. They both did grat until about the last 10 min.. Not bad babies.. Not bad at all!

Sunday we headed over to have brunch with uncle Alex and Nathan. Owen and Paige love to run around his place and play out on the patio. Now if we can just get him to invite us over more often.

Shrimp boil!

Saturday was our first ever shrimp boil! I really wanted to start some kind of tradition that is ours and we needed to celebrate nathan being in town too. Plan is to have one every year to enjoy good food and great company. We had a gear time and Dan did a terrific job of cooking it all up. Owen and Paige had a terrific time socializing with everyone and playing in the water with Connor.

Papaw!

Papaw flew in Sunday and we got to go check out his plane. The rest of the evening was spent hanging out in the backyard with papaw and our uncles Alex and Nathan. The lunar eclipse was pretty cool too.

Wednesday highlights...

At daycare Owen said "Ian mama here". Three words little Owie, way to go! Paige peed on daddy before getting in the bath. Way to go sis!

Ship shop ship!

Sometimes it's the little things that make my day. Was happy to see these cool new carts at Wally world that will make shopping with you little monkeys a little easier. Paige you thought you were on parade and waved to everyone that we passed.

Weekend fun...

Spent the weekend in carlsbad celebrating Jalie's birthday and mothers day. Paige and Owen I think you would have partied all night if we would have let you. Sunday we took family pictures in very bright colored t-shirts.. Not sure everyone was really happy about it was fun for aunt Julie and I at least and hopefully we got some good pics of everybody! We got home and celebrated with our nana.. Oh, almost forgot to mention my sweet mothers day gift.. A double DVD player for the van! We are now road trip ready!

The great jellybean!

After figuring out how to break into a plastic egg the babies had their first jellybean. Good thing they were shirtless because they were slobbery messes.
Owen drops to his knees "sissy, come back! I want a jellybean too!" Paige comes back "okay bubba, you get this one". Together they say "mmmm..more!"

Splish splash!

The last three days have been overcast , cool and rainy. Momma has enjoyed the break from the sun and all the rain makes everything smell so good. When we got home yesterday we played outside for awhile in the wet backyard. You guys loved splashing in the puddles that collected all around. Owen, you gave your current favorite book a bath and were not too happy when momma took it away to save it from any further damage. We ended the day with a nice walk... I'm sure gonna miss this weather.

Happy mothers day to me!

Yesterday I got mothers day gift from the babies a little early. They are little signs with their picture, handprint and a poem. So sweet, thank you Paige and Owen!

Cutie pie...

Yesterday Paige sported her little tutu around the house. She insisted she wear her brothers boots with it. I can't get enough of this little girl. In the picture with her hand up she is saying "dada" because piper started barking and she thought her daddy was home.

Sunday is Fun day!

Sunday morning was spent playing outside in the water with our cousins. Paige took a small spill off the slide and scraped up her chin a little. Owen was in a mood and spent most of the morning in my arms. After Julie and the kids left it was nap them up for a play date at the park with friends.

Cinco de mayo!

Aunt Julie and cousins Ross and Jalie were in town and went to a dinner at one of daddy's co-workers house Saturday night with us. Owen and Paige had a great time playing with the older kids and getting their hands on their toys. Best part of the night, besides the delicious food, was the dance game the big kids played. Owen mostly watched but Paige really shook it!

Shus shus...

First thing Paige does when she gets in the car is kick off her shoes. Then she says "shu..shu" and points to them while looking at me, like, "come on mama give me my shoes"..

Bebe...

Playing "mama and dada" outside with their baby dolls. Owen was patting his baby on the back saying "nigh nigh". Paige walked around with her "bebe" taking it out of the blanket and bringing it to us for re-swaddling over and over. Daddy still has his swaddling skills but mama must have lost them.
