The day before Abby!

Abby you were a scheduled c-section and on the 21st mama and dada went to the hospital to register and do some blood work. We also took granny and
Pa out to lunch. I remember being excited and still couldn't believe that I was going to have a baby. Oh, and we had NO IDEA if you were a girl or boy. Dada and I had a feeling though!!

My little lights!

The Christmas play at daycare you both had one line. "I'm the light of friendship" was your line Owen. When you first started rehearsing your line was "I'm the light of doy (joy;) but a little friend could not remember her line so your line was switched up. I was little bummed because I loved hearing you say "doy". "I'm the light that shines in your heart" was your line Paige. You both walked out into the audience, up onto the stage, and said your lines like little pros. It was a very proud mommy moment.

Carlsbad Christmas 2014!

Thanks to some fevers and general "under the weatherness" we had to delay our trip to Carlsbad by a few days. We finally made it and it was wonderful. Highlights for mama included watching all our chickens run around the house and wrestling with each other, playing at the park and swinging on the tire swing with Aunt Julie, watching everyone gush and fight over sweet Abigail, playing dicecapades, making up a silly dance with jalie and performing it for everyone, and belly-laughing til it hurt. The laughs were at dada's expense, but he was a good sport about it;). Now that Abby is
here and a little older, I'm looking to a more trips home.

All tuckered out!

This is a first! Abby you rolled on your side and fell asleep. This was the first time you used your little hands to bat around your toys, first time to roll on you side independently, and the first time to fall asleep without someone helping you. You are growing up quick, baby girl!
And yes, you are wearing a Halloween sleeper during the Christmas season. We follow no rules!!

Christmas 2014!

It was a very merry day spent in our jammies. Santa delivered the goods and everyone was happy with their haul. The bestest, most fantastic part of the day, was my little chickens. All THREE of them! Wow, still can't believe we have 3. Merry Christmas, Owen, Paige, and Abby. You are my favorite holiday treats!

Bad mama! Like, REALLY really BAD mama! It's been almost a year since my last post. Whyyyy!! Wouldn't even be able to get caught up if I tried. Thank goodness for cameras on our phones, Facebook, and the amazing things we call our brains. Many of the beautiful moments of 2014 are captured forever.

I'll have to attempt a "best of 2014" later. But I'm gonna take the time I have now to record THE BEST thing to happen in 2014... Abigail May Lofton born September 22,2014.

A Colorado Christmas!

After the Santa excitement at our house, we loaded ourselves into our already loaded van and headed to Colorado to spend the rest of our week with the COOLEST Uncle I think we could ask for, Uncle Jon.  The van was packed full with our stuff, us, Nana and Piper but it was pretty smooth sailing if ya ask me.  Dada did most of the driving and Nana was in full time kid-pleaser mode in the back seat.  I tried to start out the trip sitting in the back, but after the first failed roadside pee-stop at Paige's request, Paige insisted that Nana sit in the back.  Poor Nana never made it back to the front.

We made it to Uncle Jon's house in great time!  Once we arrived, Owen and Paige you guys ran around his fun, big house like little maniacs.  We spent the first night bellied up to the bar, setting up camp for our 4 day stay, and talking and playing with Uncle Jon and cousins Cameron and Derek.

On Thursday we took our time getting ready and shuffling around the house like a group of people with nowhere to be.  It was nice.  Later that night, our Papaw arrived and we celebrated Christmas together which included a yummy steak dinner and opening presents.  It was a lovely night!

The next two days included a trip to a train museum in Greeley, dinner with some very nice folks, Joe and Denay, that we have come to know over the years, and an adult night out for dinner and drinks.  Cameron lucked out and you both napped for several hours of his babysitting shift.
